Commerzbank – Notes on Account Integration and Login (as of September 2025)
Commerzbank offers online banking for private and business customers. Account management is provided via the online banking portal, the Commerzbank Banking App, or banking software (e.g., HBCI/FinTS).
Login notes for Commerzbank online banking:
- Access is via your personal user ID (e.g., 10-digit participant number/Commerzbank ID, or an individually assigned username) and your personal password.
- To authorize transactions and sensitive actions, a TAN procedure is required (e.g., photoTAN app or photoTAN device).
- After several failed attempts, access will be blocked for security reasons. Unblocking is possible via support.
- If you have problems with your login credentials, you can use the “Forgot password?” function or contact support.
- The login credentials are valid for both online banking and the Commerzbank Banking App.
TAN procedures:
- photoTAN app: Authorize transactions via the app on your smartphone, including push notifications (photoTAN push).
- photoTAN device: Generate TANs using a device, independent of your smartphone.
- Setup and management of TAN procedures are done in your Commerzbank online banking portal.
Security features:
- Two-factor authentication is standard for all logins and transactions.
- Commerzbank will never ask you for passwords or codes.
Note in case of problems with bank login via fino services:
- Check your login credentials (user ID and password) for Commerzbank online banking.
- Ensure that your TAN procedure (photoTAN app or device) is active and functioning.
- Check whether third-party provider access is enabled and valid at Commerzbank.
- If the problem persists, have your login credentials, TAN procedure, and permissions checked by Commerzbank.
