1822direkt – Information on Account Integration and Login (as of September 2025)


1822direkt offers online banking for private customers. Account management is possible via the online banking portal, the 1822direkt Banking App, or banking software (e.g., HBCI/FinTS).


Login instructions for 1822direkt online banking:

  • User ID: Your 8-digit online ID (e.g., 1234567A), consisting of your 7-digit customer number plus a personal identifier (usually a letter). You receive your online ID upon account opening via SMS or post.

  • Online PIN: Your self-chosen PIN (minimum 8, maximum 56 characters, numbers and/or letters). The PIN is independent of your card PIN.

  • TAN method: The 1822TAN+ App is used for authorizations. After logging in, you set up the TAN method by scanning the QR code in online banking with the app.

  • Login issues: If you have trouble with your credentials or PIN, you can reset them via the website or contact customer service.

  • The credentials apply to both online banking and the 1822direkt App.


Security features:

  • Two-factor authentication (TAN method) is standard for all logins and transactions.

  • Management and activation of TAN methods is done in the online banking portal.

  • 1822direkt will never ask you for passwords or codes.


Note for issues with bank login via fino services:

  • Check your credentials (user ID and online PIN) for 1822direkt.

  • Ensure your TAN method (e.g., 1822TAN+ App) is active and functional.

  • Check if access for third-party providers is enabled and valid at your bank.

  • If the problem persists, have your credentials, TAN method, and third-party permissions checked by your bank (e.g., your bank advisor).
