- Login via Web/App: Log in with branch/account number and 5-digit PIN. The 2-digit sub-account number is no longer required. After the first login, you can assign a personal Deutsche Bank ID and password; these will replace the branch/account number and PIN. Authorizations are made via photoTAN or BestSign (mobileTAN is discontinued).
- FinTS/HBCI (banking software):
- User ID: either “branch number + account number” (e.g., 7001234567, without sub-account) OR your Deutsche Bank ID.
- User-ID field: leave blank (if mandatory, enter the user ID again).
- Bank server: https://fints.deutsche-bank.de/
- Security procedure: photoTAN or BestSign (mobileTAN is no longer supported).
- Note on account number: Some programs require 10 digits. If necessary, add leading zeros to make the account number 10 digits (e.g., 0123456789).
- HBCI+/Activation: A separate “HBCI+ activation” in online banking is no longer required. Use your (new) login credentials and verify yourself during initial setup in your financial software with photoTAN/BestSign.
- Former Berliner Bank: Logins have been migrated to Deutsche Bank banking; the procedures above also apply here.
- Norisbank: Norisbank has its own logins/processes that must be handled separately (not covered in this DB quick guide).
Example for FinTS user ID:
- Branch 700 + account number 1234567 → User ID: 7001234567 (without sub-account number).
- If the software requires 10 digits: Add leading zero to account number: e.g., 0123456789.
Important changes (overview):
- Sub-account number is no longer required for login.
- mobileTAN has been discontinued; photoTAN (including “push”) and BestSign are active.
- Account/ID logic: After the changeover, login as a person via Deutsche Bank ID is possible; multiple accounts/IDs can be managed/linked.
Note in case of problems with bank login via fino services:
- Check your login credentials (branch/account number or Deutsche Bank ID and PIN/password) for Deutsche Bank.
- Ensure that your TAN procedure is active and functioning (photoTAN or BestSign).
- Check whether third-party provider (TPP) access is enabled and valid at your bank.
- If the problem persists, have your login credentials, TAN procedure and TPP access checked by your bank (e.g., your bank advisor).
The switch to Deutsche Bank ID/password, removal of sub-account number, TAN procedures and FinTS parameters are documented on the official DB pages, here and here.
