KD-Bank – Notes on Account Integration and Login (as of September 2025)
KD-Bank (Bank for Church and Diakonie eG) offers online banking for private and business customers. Account management is provided via the online banking portal, the VR Banking App, or banking software (e.g., HBCI/FinTS).
Login notes for KD-Bank online banking:
- Access is via your VR-NetKey (personal user ID, usually 8 to 10 digits) or a self-assigned alias and your personal PIN (at least 8 digits).
- To authorize transactions and sensitive actions, a TAN procedure is required (e.g., SecureGo plus app, Sm@rt-TAN plus with TAN generator).
- If you have problems with your login credentials or PIN, you can reset them using the “Forgot login credentials?” function on the login page.
- After several failed attempts, access will be blocked for security reasons. Unblocking is possible via support.
- The login credentials are valid for both online banking and the VR Banking App.
TAN procedures:
- SecureGo plus: Authorize transactions via the app on your smartphone (push TAN, biometric authentication possible).
- Sm@rt-TAN plus: Generate TANs using a TAN generator, independent of your smartphone.
- Setup and management of TAN procedures is done in your KD-Bank online banking portal.
Note in case of problems with bank login via fino services:
- Check your login credentials (VR-NetKey/alias and PIN) for KD-Bank online banking.
- Ensure that your TAN procedure (SecureGo plus or Sm@rt-TAN plus) is active and functioning.
- Check whether third-party provider access is enabled and valid at your bank.
- If the problem persists, have your login credentials, TAN procedure, and permissions checked by KD-Bank.
